Work

Holiday kids at play!!!!  The two things I enjoy about doing kids fashion is... 1. playfulness and 2. playful propping.  This was an enjoyable project I got to work on, on my last day at Anthropologie.  Memories...

Inspirational portraits.

photos screen capture from google images; all rights owned by McCall magazine

Last week, two good friends of mine (Jeff Stark and Kristin Renner) and I, attended the third, of Brimfield Antique Show's tri-annual event (in Brimfield, Massachusetts).  I scored great deals on vintage apparel (which I plan on using for future shoots) and some really fabulous vintage hats (which I am currently planning a shoot around).

Upon spending a super fun day (wish we stayed longer, and will next year) spending money on great deals, my good friend Kristin, stopped at a table filled with vintage McCall magazines.  I have looked at these before, but something in me, this time around, sparked and I can't seem to stop thinking of how beautiful the illustrated portraits are!  The expressions on these beautiful ladies' faces left a strong impression; telling stories of their lifestyle, sadness, joy and setting- whether it be the time of season or actual place.  Conjuring with-in me the urge to create stories, which are inspired by these lovely portraits!!!  Time for portrait test shoot!

so excited to share more future planning on this shoot, so please come back soon...

I can't get enough of these editorials, from Dazed & Confused and Harper's Bazaar (US)!!!!!!!! The movement that is captured is very inspirational!  It is making me think of wanting to do a movement test photo-shoot!!!!! Speaking of capturing great movement, check out a good friend's,  awesome work here---->  Anthony Nocella!

Testing, testing...

Hello there!

There's nothing more that I enjoy, than getting to see behind the scenes.  And to top it off, working with a friend, makes it more special.  Speaking of friends, above is a photographer friend, Mike Persico.   We have been talking about doing a few collaboration work together, both fashion and still life.  We spent a whole day, a few weeks ago, doing a color and texture study; from this we learned how to work with each-other and what similar things interest us the most.  After running ideas, we decided what future work we will do.

Collaborate & test, collaborate & test, collaborate & test!  It is so important, in my opinion at least, because I am learning what I like and what I don't!

So stay tuned for more Persico Photo collaboration!!!!!!

until next time...

Personal work

photographer: David Reeve; make-up&hair: April Ramirez
Hi friends,

Wowza, it's been a long while- so sorry for the slack.  But, I have collected so many things to share with you, in return.  I am starting to really get more inspired to do personal work.  After collaborating with photographer, David Reeve, it opened up my eyes and made me question, "what IS my style?"  What in my work, represent me?  From here I started to create ideas; and hopefully I will start to build my own personal page, in my site.  And through my blog, I will share sneak peeks and the birth of these ideas.

And, above are a handful of pictures, I worked on with David Reeve.

more posts coming your way...
